Being vegan in Japan

Japanese people don’t know what is being vegetarian. So, for then, if they hear the term vegan, they would think it has the same meaning as vegetarian.

But most of the time, they have no idea what is it.

Luckily, Japan is changing slowly towards a country that is starting to know about vegetarianism. Some heard about it and you can find vegetarian options in some part of the big cities or touristic ones.

Some vegan places even opened, which is really amazing and I’m still surprise this is happening.

I’m going to post articles about where to eat in the cities I’ve visited (Kyoto, Tokyo, Nara, Osaka, Kawaguchiko), and what to buy in any other cities in convenient stores etc.

See you in the next article ~
